Keith Urban has officially been named as a judge for Season 14 of 'American Idol,' along with the two other judges from the previous season, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr.

Fox network confirms the news, which Urban already hinted about in May in response to a question about getting a bigger trailer.

“I’m working on it. It’s part of the negotiating for next season," Urban said, before adding, “Yeah, I’m back. Definitely I’m back.”

Ryan Seacrest will also return to host the reality TV talent show, putting together what one network executive says is the best possible group of people to helm the award-winning series.

“I am delighted that our dream team of Jennifer, Keith and Harry are back for ‘American Idol XIV,’” Trish Kinane, President of Entertainment for FremantleMedia North America and 'Idol' executive producer says (quote via Variety). “Their experience, humor and passion for new talent has made them one of ‘Idol’s’ strongest-ever judging panels, and coupled with the expertise and charisma of Ryan Seacrest, we are ready to get out there to find the best talent in America.”

“Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best in the business at what they do, and I’m thrilled that they are returning to ‘American Idol’ for another season," David Hill, Senior Executive VP of 21st Century Fox, adds. "Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream."

'American Idol' auditions are being held in several cities all over the country, including New Orleans on Wednesday (June 25). Aspiring singers can also audition online. Complete details are available here.

This will be Urban's third season to judge 'American Idol.' He will kick off his 2014 Raise 'Em Up Tour on July 12, with Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge serving as his opening acts. See a list of all of his upcoming shows here.
