Kacey Musgraves is learning that shooting a video can be dangerous work!

The singer cut her leg while filming the video for her song, 'Follow Your Arrow.' Apparently, she got too close to a prickly plant, and appears to have suffered a nice-sized gash in the process.

This isn't the first time Musgraves has been plagued by the song, which she co-wrote with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. While performing it at the recent CMA Awards, the network opted to mute out the lines, “When the straight and narrow gets a little too straight / Roll up a joint, or don’t.” But Musgraves says she remains immensely proud of the tune.

“I know a lot of people don’t really agree with those things, especially in the South. But there’s actually a lot less criticism towards that song than I imagined," Musgraves tells The Boot.

“More than anything, even if they don’t agree with the girls kissing girls thing or even the drug reference," she says of the lyric, "I would hope that they would agree that no matter what we all should be able to love who we want to love and live how we want to live.”

In spite of the setback, Musgraves still has plenty to be happy about. The reigning CMA New Artist of the Year has earned multiple Grammy nominations -- for Best Country Album, Best Country Song, and in the all-genre category of Best New Artist.
