Jessica Simpson Makes Nosy Confession

Jessica Simpson has been showing her comedic side while she makes the radio rounds, re-introducing herself as a country artist. Take, for instance, her recent interview with Southern California's KFROG, where she praised Nashville for its many virtues, including lack of paparazzi:

"It's so intimidating when paparazzi are around -- you can't sneeze or anything," Simpson said, adding a particularly embarrassing nasal moment: "I have sneezed out a spaghetti noodle before. [laughs] Straight out my nose! I thought something was caught in my throat for like two days, and then one day, I just sneezed out a long spaghetti noodle."

Even though the tabloids aren't always a laughing matter with Simpson, she says she tries to keep a good sense of humor about the often falsified stories that are printed about her.

"Of course, there's some truth in some stories, but some of them are absolutely ridiculous," Simpson told KFROG. "Like my father really fit me for a training bra! [laughs] Who believes that kind of thing? There are crazy rumors just to make your family look bad, and it hurts sometimes."

Friendlier publicity is already following Simpson in her move to country, and she has found country fans to be quite hospitable, as well.

"The best thing they say to me is, 'Welcome to country music,'" Simpson says of the fans she met during CMA Music Festival in Nashville. "I love it that they claim it as their territory, and I feel so welcome."
