Jason Aldean has released the first single from his upcoming album, and he's also revealed a lyric video for the track.

'Burnin' It Down' is the first taste of Aldean's forthcoming sixth studio album, which he has said he will release by the end of the year. Chris Tompkins, Rodney Clawson, and Florida Georgia Line members Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard wrote the song, which Aldean recorded with longtime producer Michael Knox.

Aldean performed the song for the first time publicly at his show in Cleveland on Friday (July 18).

“Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums,” Aldean says in a press release. “I’ve pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that’s pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid back thing with a really cool groove. We played it live for the first time this weekend in Cleveland and Cincy at the stadium gigs, and I’m excited to see how it takes off from here. There are some different things on this new album, and I hope this sets a good tone for what’s to come.”

'Burnin' It Down' arrived at iTunes and country radio Tuesday (July 22).

Aldean is currently crossing the country on his Burn It Down Tour, with special guests Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. See a list of dates here.
