Jason Aldean might be busy crossing the country, playing to sold-out arenas on his Burn It Down Tour, but he is still finding time to work on a new album. The singer says he will have a new record in the hands of his fans in just a few short months.

“We’ve got a new album coming out the end of this year or maybe September and a new single coming, probably coming  the end of June,” he tells Billboard. “We’re getting geared up for all that stuff right now. Between that and the tour, it’s going to be a busy year for us.”

Aldean played last week in Indianapolis, one night before the Indy 500, as part of his new partnership with American tire company, Firestone.

“It’s a big feather in our cap to have those guys on board with us,” Aldean admits. “I’ve never wanted to be involved with something that didn’t represent what I was about and I feel like Firestone is one of those Americana sort of brands that has been around forever and for me… I would never do a deal with like Rave Hairspray or something.”

Although Aldean's busy tour schedule didn't allow him to stay to see any of the race, he still says it was a huge accomplishment for him to perform as part of the event.

“It’s the first time I remember playing a race track. We might have played a little county race track but as far as a motor speedway like this, this is the first one,” the reigning ACM Male Vocalist notes. “We’ve been crossing stuff off the bucket list, things we’ve never done before, and this is another one of those things so it’s pretty neat.”

Aldean's upcoming schedule includes a stop at Nashville's CMA Music Fest, an appearance at George Strait's final sold-out show on his Cowboy Rides Away Tour at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and a show in Jacksonville, Fla. See a list of all of his upcoming concerts here.
