Snatching the No. 1 country album of the year from Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum was no easy feat, but Jason Aldean has scored an even more impressive achievement with his latest CD, 'My Kinda Party,' claiming the No. 4 spot on Billboard's mid-year 2011 Top Albums (of all genres) chart.

Powered by his platinum-selling collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' and surprise hip-hop hit 'Dirt Road Anthem' with fellow Georgia native Ludacris, which landed Jason his first Top 10 single on Billboard's Hot 100, the genre-bending country superstar has released a chart-topping crossover smash with 'My Kinda Party.'

Coming in second to Mumford & Sons in non-pop albums on the chart, Jason's fourth effort is comfortably perched at No. 1 on the year-to-date Top Selling Country Albums chart, with over 763,000 sales just this year (and over twice that since its November, 2010 release). While Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum failed to crack Billboard's Top 10, Jason's 'My Kinda Party' is the highest ranked album by a solo male country artist at this point in the year since Kenny Chesney's 'When the Sun Goes Down' notched No. 3 halfway through 2004.

Continuing to build momentum, Jason returns to his 'My Kinda Party' tour with Chris Young and Thompson Square tonight in Milwaukee, Wis. Click here to check out Aldean's My Kinda Party tour dates.
