Jake Owen and Little Big Town took a break from their own holiday festivities to kick up their heels at Jake's annual hometown benefit concert, raising money that will make the New Year brighter for plenty of kids.

The concert before 4,500 fans in Jake's hometown of Vero Beach, Fla., was part of the weekend-long "Mardy's Tennis & Jake's Music Fest." Highlights from the fifth annual event included Jake and LBT joining together for a stirring acoustic performance of 'Life in a Northern Town,' the song they recorded with Sugarland roughly three years ago when all three artists were on tour together.

Jake presented a check on behalf of the recently founded Jake Owen Foundation for $30,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. and one for $33,000 to the Mardy Fish Foundation, which supports youth programs and organizations in the Vero Beach area.

"Every year I'm reminded how privileged I am to have been raised in this wonderful and charitable community," Jake says. "It

is such an honor to be a part of giving back to the children of Vero Beach."

Jake is scheduled to play his next concert December 31 in Duluth, Ga. For a complete list of dates and locales, check here.
