Garth Brooks has announced the release of the lead single from his forthcoming new album on RCA Nashville.

The superstar will release 'People Loving People' to country radio on Wednesday (Sept. 3). The single is scheduled to impact on Sept. 8.

Written by busbee, Lee Thomas Miller and Chris Wallin, 'People Loving People' is the first single from Brooks' enormously anticipated new studio album -- his first since 'Scarecrow' in 2001.

Brooks announced his new deal with RCA and his new album at a press conference in July, when he also revealed his plans to finally release his catalog digitally and confirmed plans for a massive comeback tour. The album has no set release date yet, but it is expected to drop in conjunction with the tour, which kicks off with a 10-show run in Chicago beginning on Thursday (Sept. 4).

Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, will also appear on the tour, which Brooks has said will feature new music and may last as long as three years. Yearwood recently announced the impending release of her own new album, 'PrizeFighter,' also via RCA Nashville. The album's title song is a duet with Kelly Clarkson.
