In the new film, 'Country Strong,' Gwyneth Paltrow plays Kelly Canter, an iconic country star trying to pick up the shattered pieces of her life and career while also battling an addition to drugs and alcohol. Tim McGraw is James Canter, her manager/husband, anxious to renew his wife's superstar status. Leighton Meester plays Chiles Stanton, the beauty queen-turned-country singer who's tapped to open Kelly's comeback tour. And Garrett Hedlund is Beau Hutton, the sensitive singer/songwriter also in an opening slot on the tour and more importantly, charged with helping Kelly stay sober.

All four actors immersed themselves in their roles and had to do a lot of studying for the parts.
