Sugarland's Kristian Bush and Brantley Gilbert will celebrate the upcoming 46th Annual CMA Awards one day early, by appearing together at the latest CMA Songwriter Series installment. The two tunesmiths, who are both nominated for a CMA trophy (for Vocal Duo and New Artist of the Year, respectively), will perform in Nashville at Marathon Music Works on Oct. 31.

"The CMA Awards bring out the best in everybody, and that applies to fans of country music as well -- just being around the energy of Nashville during CMA Week is contagious," says Kristian, who co-wrote 10 of the 11 tracks on Sugarland's 2010 Incredible Machine CD. "So to play this CMA Songwriters Showcase for all those dedicated fans, in the middle of all that energy? What an incredible honor. It feels like the Super Bowl of writers' nights. I can only imagine how exciting it's going to be to perform."

Brantley, who has penned songs for Jason Aldean and Colt Ford, as well as wrote his two chart-topping hits, "Country Must Be Country Wide" and "You Don't Know Her Like I Do," is anxious to share his songs with his fans.

"This is really cool that the CMA asked me to join some of the best songwriters around and give us the opportunity to share our stories," Brantley notes. "As all of my fans know, songwriting is very important to me and has definitely been therapeutic. Whether it's about throwing a party in the sticks or getting over a girl, my music always seems to come from my personal experiences. I look forward to sharing more stories on this night."

The CMA Songwriter Series has played host to several of country music's most successful songwriters, including Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and the Band Perry. Carrie Underwood recently participated in the famed writer's night at the Royale in Boston, Mass., while Bill Anderson, Clint Black and Bob DiPiero took the series overseas to a multi-city event in England and Ireland earlier this year.

Tickets for the Nashville CMA Songwriter Series are available now and can be purchased here.

The 2012 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8:00 PM ET.
