Eric Church leads the pack of 2012 CMA Awards nominees with five nods. The North Carolina native is up for Male Vocalist, Album, Single, Song and Music Video of the Year, the latter three for his chart-topping hit, "Springsteen." Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are just behind with four nods apiece, including one they share: a Song of the Year nomination for the tearjerking tune they co-wrote, "Over You."

Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan were up early to read the nominations live on ABC's "Good Morning America." The former tourmates both heard their own names called a few times. Jason is up for Entertainer, Male Vocalist and Single of the Year. Luke's Tailgates and Tanlines earned him his first-ever Album of the Year nod, and he'll compete with buddy Jason for the Male Vocalist title.

Joining Jason in vying for the CMA's top honor, Entertainer of the Year, are Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. The 46th annual Country Music Association Awards, hosted by Brad and Carrie Underwood, will broadcast live, Nov 1 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
