Chris Young kicked off the U.S. portion of his I'm Comin' Over World Tour in Nashville on Wednesday night (Sept. 30), playing to more than 5,000 fans at the city's Ascend Amphitheater. In addition to opening acts Jerrod Niemann and Cam, Young was joined during his set by a surprise special guest: Brad Paisley, with whom he performed a cover of Eric Clapton's "Change the World."

Young stood at the mic and crooned the soulful tune while Paisley showed off his truly impressive guitar skills, taking on Clapton's 1996 hit with ease. Press play on the video above to watch their performance; be sure to watch Young's great reactions during Paisley's guitar solos.

"This is the greatest guy in the world, right here," Paisley told the crowd of Young at the end of their performance.

Back in 2013, Paisley took Young out on tour with him as an opening act -- a move that had Young nervous, more for personal reasons than professional ones.

“I was nervous because this is a guy I’ve looked up to for so long,” Young recalled to his Music City crowd (quote via the Tennessean). “What if he’s a jerk? But he exceeded all of my expectations … and was the nicest guy ever.”

Young's 75-minute set also included hits such as “Tomorrow,” “Voices” and “Gettin’ You Home,” as well as his newest single, “I’m Comin’ Over.” The tune is the title track of Young's upcoming album, I’m Comin’ Over, which is set for release on Nov. 13.

“[Playing a concert in] Nashville’s interesting because the last thing you want to do is trip and fall down in front of everyone you know and everyone you work with. Literally and figuratively,” the Middle Tennessee native tells The Boot. “Just as much as you want to make sure you sell tickets and do well, a big part of this business is perception. You want it to be the biggest show you can make it.”

A list of all of Young’s upcoming shows is available on his website.
