Chris Young Reveals Fall Tour Plans, More New Album Details

Chris Young has revealed the details of an exciting fall tour, as well as the cover art for his fifth studio album, I'm Comin' Over.

Young shared the news during a live Facebook video chat on Sunday (Aug. 9) that also featured a question-and-answer session. From his favorite dessert to the details of his upcoming Cassadee Pope duet, he answered fans' inquiries before revealing his big tour news and the album's cover.

Although Young's new record will feature a new sound from the singer, fans will still recognize the tunes as his.

“… Not only did I just really, really love ["I'm Comin' Over"] when I wrote it, but also, because of the way we cut stuff on this record, it seemed like the perfect way to kind of bridge the gap between what I’d done sonically on prior records and what we’ve done on this,” Young tells The Boot. “And I thought it played real well and it balanced real well [with] what we were trying to evolve my sound as, and I think anybody that’s heard anything prior to this would go, ‘Oh, that sounds like something that he would do.’”

The singer is kicking off his I'm Comin' Over Tour on Oct. 22 in Savannah, Ga. The trek includes 14 dates in cities such as Erie, Pa.; Kalamazoo, Mich.; Broomfield, Colo.; Duluth, Minn.; and Green Bay, Wis. See a complete list of dates below.

Tickets for the I'm Comin' Over Tour will go on sale on Friday (Aug. 14) at 10AM local time. "Friday Night" hitmaker Eric Paslay and Universal/BMG artist Clare Dunn will open for Young.

Young has not yet revealed the release date of I'm Comin' Over.
