Country Artists Who Have Lost Children

Losing a child is an unimaginable loss. Whether a child is hours old or a grown man or woman, no parent should have to bury a son or daughter — and yet, several country stars have had to endure this grief-filled event.

Most recently, the devastating loss of Craig Morgan‘s 19-year-old son Jerry rocked the country music community — but he’s (sadly) not the first country star to lose a child, even in the last few years. Randy Rogers and his wife had to say goodbye to their daughter Rumer far too early, and George Strait lost his daughter Jenifer in a tragic car accident when she was just 13 years old. Other country singers whose lives have been forever marked by the loss of a child include Eddie Montgomery, Loretta Lynn — who has, sadly, lost two children — Willie Nelson, Eddie Rabbitt, Aaron Watson and Roy Rogers.

Readers can look through the photo gallery above to learn more about the late children of these country stars. From the bottom of our hearts, The Boot extends our deepest sympathies and condolences to all of the parents who had to say too soon of a goodbye to a child.
