Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have co-hosted the CMA Awards since 2008, and each year, they get more confident ... and their jokes get even funnier.

Throughout their years as hosts, Paisley and Underwood have made plenty of people laugh -- and made fun of plenty of people. They're not afraid of diving into controversial topics and poking fun at pretty much anyone: They've name-checked stars such as Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and more ... but for the most part, Paisley and Underwood's one-liners have been lighthearted, not cruel.

"We're like one big, slightly dysfunctional family," Paisley said one year, then paused and added, "It's like George Strait plus eight."

Another time, after Paisley informed his co-host that twerking was a medical term, Underwood corrected him, saying, "Twerking is ... well, have you ever been to a Luke Bryan concert?"
