Blake Shelton hosting "Saturday Night Live"? It could happen, if group of fans behind a Facebook movement is successful. And not surprisingly, the group already has the musical guest lined up, too: Blake's wife -- and fellow country superstar -- Miranda Lambert.

"If Facebook can get Betty White we sure as hell can get Blake and Miranda on SNL!" reads a message on the page, which currently has just over 1,000 "likes" from followers on the social-media site. In 2010, a grassroots campaign started by a San Antonio-based fan of the actress was successful in getting the TV veteran booked on the late-night comedy series.

A similar, but thus far unsuccessful, movement, also in 2010, was undertaken in hopes of getting Reba McEntire booked on the show. Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton are the only country stars to host the series in its 38 seasons.

Blake does have a few advantages in his favor when it comes to possibly snagging the not-ready-for-prime-time gig. First and foremost, he's seen by millions of NBC viewers every week in his role as a mentor on singing competition "The Voice." He's also proven himself unfraid to look foolish for comic effect. No, not because of his often hilarious Twitter posts, but because of the comedy sketches he participated in for his "Not So Family Christmas" special earlier this month, which aired, of course, on NBC.
