The biggest country award of the 2015 Grammy Awards is Best Country Album, and there are several fan-favorite artists up for the prize. Last yearKacey Musgraves walked away with the trophy, but there's a whole new roster of talented singers nominated this time around.

Dierks Bentley's ‘Riser’ was his fifth No. 1 debut and covered the most ground, subject-wise, of all his records. His father passed away and his son was born during the making of the album, and the disc explores new ground personally and musically. Bentley helped write six of the record's 12 tracks.

Eric Church brought his game face to the table with ‘The Outsiders,’ all of which was co-written by him. It's Church's second album to reach platinum status, and the second single off the record, 'Give Me Back My Hometown,' pulled nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

Although not a household name, Brandy Clark has been in the earbuds of country fans for quite some time. She's written for artists like Miranda Lambert, the Band Perry, Sheryl Crow, Musgraves and Reba McEntire, but she only recently made her debut as a solo recording artist with ’12 Stories.’ Clark is also nominated for the all-genre Best New Artist, the only country singer in the category.

It's no surprise that Lambert is in the running for a Grammy to add to her bookshelf; her fifth studio album, ‘Platinum,’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart -- a huge milestone for the songstress, as she is the only country artist who has seen all five of her records debut at the top spot. With a repertoire of songs ranging from the sentimental 'Automatic' to the super-sassy 'Somethin' Bad,' her record is definitely deserving of the nomination.

Lee Ann Womack took several risks with ‘The Way I’m Livin',' and they paid off. She left MCA Nashville after her contract's fulfillment and decided to make the music she'd always wanted to make, whether or not it was commercially successful. Womack tapped artists not familiar with Music Row, and her first release in seven years was embraced with a Grammy nod.
