The Americana Music Association's 19th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference -- also known as AmericanaFest -- will take over Nashville in mid-September. Merging the contributing musical influences of roots, folk, country, blues and soul music, the Americana Music Festival showcases both legendary acts and up-and-coming new musicians on the scene.

When and Where Is the 2018 Americana Music Festival & Conference?

The Americana Music Festival & Conference is scheduled to take place Sept. 11-16, 2018, in Nashville, Tenn. Events will occur at nearly 60 different live venues across the city, including 3rd & Lindsley, the Basement and the Basement East, the High Watt, Mercy Lounge, City Winery, the Station Inn, Musician’s Corner, the 5 Spot, Third Man Records, 12th & Porter and the historic Ryman Auditorium, among others. Who’s Performing at the 2018 Americana Music Festival?

What Other Events Are Happening During the 2018 Americana Music Festival?

In addition to hundreds of live shows, the conference portion of AmericanaFest will feature numerous panels, seminars, exclusive daytime performances and much more. The events covers the interests and needs of artists, managers, labels, radio stations, publishers, agents, promoters, retailers, legal and business affairs executives, merchandisers and new media professionals.

The 2018 Americana Music Honors & Awards also take place during AmericanaFest. The event recognizes distinguished members of the Americana music industry and awards honors to a select few. This year, the ceremony will take place on Sept. 12 at the Ryman Audtiorium; nominees include Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell and Margo Price.

I Can't Be at the 2018 Americana Music Festival ... How Else Can I Follow Along?

If you can't be at AmericanaFest 2018, The Boot will keep you up to date on all of the goings-on in Nashville throughout the festival. The week's takeovers will kick off on Monday (Sept. 10), when Lindsay Lou begins the week-long party. The fun continues through the weekend, too: The Band of Heathens will take control on Saturday (Sept. 15), before British Americana four-piece the Wandering Hearts -- who broke into the U.S. Americana scene earlier in the summer, making their Opry debut in June -- close things out on Sunday (Sept. 16).
