With the 2018 Americana Music Festival rapidly approaching, anyone who's taken a peek at the schedule can tell you that the week will be jam-packed with unbeatable performances, showcases and events. Seeing every can't-miss act during the festival will take some planning and strategizing ... but hey, that's a good problem to have!

If you've got a wristband for AmericanaFest 2018 but are having trouble picking out which events you want to see, we're here to help. Read on for The Boot's picks for all the can't-miss events of the week!

If you can't be at AmericanaFest 2018, The Boot will keep you up to date on all of the goings-on in Nashville throughout the festival. Over on Instagram, artists will be taking over The Boot's Instagram Stories every day of the festival. The week's takeovers will kick off on Monday (Sept. 10), when Lindsay Lou begins the week-long party. On Tuesday (Sept. 11), Tony Lucca will take the reins in advance of his Live at the Local songwriter's showcase, which readers will be able to livestream via The Boot's Facebook page.

Next up is up-and-comer Lilly Hiatt on Wednesday (Sept. 12), who will be appearing in a lineup with Lucie Silvas at the Basement East later in the week. Americana institution Jerry Douglas will be taking readers behind the scenes on Thursday (Sept. 13), and Aaron Lee Tasjan will guide viewers around the festival on Friday (Sept. 14), in between performances of songs from his brand-new album, Karma for Cheap.

The fun continues through the weekend, too: The Band of Heathens will take control on Saturday (Sept. 15), before British Americana four-piece the Wandering Hearts -- who broke into the U.S. Americana scene earlier in the summer, making their Opry debut in June -- close things out on Sunday (Sept. 16).
