Although Darius Rucker and Brad Paisley promised not to prank each other on the H2O Frozen Over tour's final night in Nashville, that didn't stop the two from thinking up elaborate schemes in other cities.

In Charlotte, for instance, things got a little cheesy. "When my lights went down, right before I came out they went out and put globs of old, old Limburger cheese on my microphone," Darius told 'The Country Vibe.' "I walked out there and I put my hand on it, and it was like, 'Oh my God!' You could smell it."

If that wasn't bad enough, they also got to Darius' backup microphone. "So, [the stage crew] pulled out my back-up microphone to bring it out," Darius explains. "As soon as they started walking to the stage, Brad's people grabbed it [laughs] and slathered it with Limburger cheese."

Apparently, it didn't stop there. "I finally got it all [off], and then we were singing 'Hold My Hand,'" Darius continues. "Brad sent these two people from the crew and they held my hands up in the air while I was singing, and all of the sudden two guys walk out and just cake my hands with Limburger cheese. That was it. I just took it and went with it after that."

Then, when Darius got to the middle of 'Purple Rain' a large man dressed in a diaper with wings came onstage and sprinkled the singer with purple glitter and confetti.

So did Darius retaliate? Of course! "We had a mariachi band that came out during one of [Brad's] songs," Darius boasts. "We also had two professional wrestlers that we paid to come out and have a match right in the middle of the stage while he sang one song. That was very funny. He turned around and he just couldn't believe that we had hired professional wrestlers. That was awesome."

With the H2O Frozen Over tour behind him, Darius says he wouldn't mind opening for someone else, but he also would like a stab at his own tour. "I'm gonna go out and do some festivals and stuff,"Darius says. "I don't think we're doing a really big tour. I'm just gonna go out and work."

Fans can catch Darius in Wilmington, N.C. April 6 and then Sioux City, Iowa April 13.
