Vince Gill, Jennifer Nettles, Lee Brice and More to Perform at 2016 NHL All-Star Game
Nashville is hosting the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, so it's only appropriate that some big country names are being included in the festivities.
The National Hockey League has revealed that Vince Gill, Jennifer Nettles, Lee Brice, Lennon & Maisy and Sixwire will all be performing during the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, which is set to take place in late January. Gill, a longtime Nashville Predators season ticket holder, will be singing the U.S. National Anthem, while Oshawa, Ontario, natives Lennon and Maisy Stella will perform the Canadian anthem.
In addition, Brice is schedule to perform during the pre-game festivities, and Nettles will sing during the game's second intermission. Sixwire have signed on as the All-Star Game's house band, while Nashville band Small Time Rock Stars will be the house band for the All-Star Skills Competition.
Free live music is also planned for the days leading up to and the days of the NHL All-Star Game. Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich and stars from ABC’s Nashville, among others, are scheduled to perform during the the IntelliCentrics Outdoor Concert Series and the NHL Fan Fair on Jan. 28-31. The 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game is scheduled to take place at Music City's Bridgestone Arena on Jan. 31; it will air live at 5PM ET on NBCSN, CBC and TVA Sports. The 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition is set to take place on Jan. 30 at 7PM ET and will be broadcast on the same networks.
