Gloriana’s Tom Gossin Undergoes Knee Surgery
Gloriana's Tom Gossin went under the knife today (January 13) to repair damage to his knee. Throughout the summer and fall, he had been performing with a torn meniscus in his right knee, and he finally got the time this month to get it fixed.
On Thursday morning, Tom took to the band's Twitter page prior to going into surgery in Marina Del Ray, Calif. "OK, about to be put under -- last tweet: If I don't make it, thank you all so much for helping me live my dream! I love you, and I love life."
Tom's brother -- and bandmate -- Mike Gossin also tweeted to fans to keep Tom in their thoughts, before sending a message to the patient. "Bro, if you're reading this from the hospital, don't die! We gotta finish the CD!"
During his recovery period in California, Tom plans on writing songs, and then should return to the studio in Nashville towards the end of the month to continue work on the group's sophomore album.
Gloriana was named by Billboard Magazine as one of the Top Country Artists – Duo/Group for 2010.
**Update: Tom is out of surgery and doing well. "I made it! All is well ... legal drugs are fun," he joked on his personal Twitter page Thursday afternoon. "Thanks for the well wishes!"
