Rascal Flatts Team With NASCAR for Sin City Ceremony

Rascal Flatts is going to rev up the excitement at this year's 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremony, and fans can still watch it live even if they're not there!

Just a few weeks after the band's November 16 'Nothing Like This' release, the group will perform fan favorites plus some of their just-released songs, too, at the December 3 event at the Wynn Las Vegas. The event will be broadcast live at 9:00 PM ET on SPEED. Comedian Frank Caliendo will also perform.

"We have a supportive and loyal fan base among NASCAR nation, including the teams and drivers, and we plan to put on a special show for them as we all celebrate the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion," Gary LeVox said. "It will be a thrill to perform in a room with drivers we follow and also call friends, and we look forward to performing for the fans tuning in live to the show."

This is just the latest news for Rascal Flatts that are nominated for a CMA Award, an American Music Award and four American Country Awards as they look forward to their first release for Big Machine Records.

"We're really excited about the new music and it's a different path for us this time," Jay DeMarcus tells The Boot. "We cut some things that we wouldn't have cut in the past, and we're really excited about doing something a little bit different this time. We've been with [producer] Dann Huff now for four records, and he really pulls something new out of us every time we get in the studio. This time, we went out to Santa Barbara, Calif. for about a week and tracked and did a little recording out there, just to mix it up a little bit. We just focused on the task at hand, and we got to collaborate with each other and talk about the direction of this record and really focus on it a lot more than we had in the past years."
