Miranda Lambert’s ‘Revolution’ Goes Platinum
Miranda Lambert's engagement ring from Blake Shelton isn't the only bling the songstress is sporting these days. Her current album 'Revolution' has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales exceeding one million units.
'Revolution' debuted at No.1 on the country album chart last year, putting Miranda in an elite group of five country artists to have their first three albums land in the top spot on its first week of release. The album has already produced two No.1 singles, 'White Liar' and 'The House That Built Me,' in addition to being named the Album of the Year by the ACM, and earning the same nomination for the upcoming CMA Awards.
"Revolution has been just that in my life: a revolution," Miranda explains. "This past year since it came out, my life has changed tremendously. This project started with me on my couch at home holding my guitar. I knew it was really important that it be something special, so I poured everything I had into writing and singing with heart on every note and track. I wrote so personally it actually scared me that I was putting in on tape for all to hear. But that is what it takes. I am so blessed to have the people who wrote, played and produced this record with me because they share the same vision and passion I do. Thank you to the 1 million fans that share it too. And thank you for joining the revolution."
More celebration may be in store for Miranda, who is up for nine CMA awards including Entertainer of the Year, a first-time nod in the category for the singer.
"It's unbelievable. I'm really shocked at some of my nominations!" a beaming Miranda said on ABC's 'Good Morning America' after announcing the nominees.
"2010 is definitely my lucky year," Miranda continued. "I've started putting '10' on everything. I got engaged, now the CMAs ... I didn't even think I was eligible for nine awards!"

While her current single 'Only Prettier' makes its way up the chart, Miranda is headlining 'CMT on Tour.' Catch her next in Columbia, SC tonight (October 15). Full list of tour dates may be found here.
