Miranda Lambert Continues Her ‘Cause for the Paws’
Miranda Lambert will host her third annual Cause for the Paws benefit concert on May 15 at the beautiful Villa Di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. All ticket proceeds for the event go to an organization near and dear to the animal lover's heart -- the Humane Society of East Texas.
"I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together for my charity," Miranda says. "The shelter, which is run entirely on donations, was able to make great improvements and create better living conditions for the animals of East Texas last year, but there is still so much that needs to be done for the abused and unwanted animals of East Texas."
Special guests for this year's Cause for the Paws will include GAC's Nan Kelley, Whiskey Myers and Kacey Musgraves. Miranda will close out the event by performing with a full band. General admission tickets are $125 and include two glasses of wine and catered food selections. Sponsorship tables include a private invitation to the limited cocktail party with the celebrities start at $2,500. Donations for the silent, live and eBay auctions have already started. Last year's Cause for the Paws raised more than $250,000.
Since the inception of the Cause for the Paws fundraiser three years ago, the Humane Society of East Texas has become a no kill sanctuary, which Miranda carries with pride as the proud "mommy" to dogs, horses, cows, pot-bellied pigs, and many more animals on her 700-acre spread in Oklahoma.
