Julianne Hough Loves Getting Carded at Christmas

What's one of Julianne Hough's favorite things to receive during the Christmas season? Here's a hint: it's not something wrapped up in pretty paper with a big bow. It's Christmas cards.

"I love opening them and seeing the pictures and just seeing through the year how much their families have grown," she explains. "For me, I've got millions of little nieces and nephews and cousins. I love it because you get to see how much they've grown in a year and their cute little smiles and everything. So, I love receiving Christmas cards."

She may love getting those reminders about Christmas time, but one thing Julianne doesn't particularly like doing is counting down the shopping days left before Dec. 25. "I am terrible," admits the blonde beauty. "I shop on Christmas Eve, and I definitely pick the last minute things."

Since she's so last-minute, we wondered if anyone on Julianne's list has ever received a Chia Pet or some other 'As-Seen-on-TV' item available at the local drugstore on Christmas Eve? Perhaps ... the singer-dancer says she enjoys picking up items for her loved ones, when "they don't even know what you're getting them!"

In between opening Christmas cards and putting off Christmas shopping, Julianne's been busy shooting a new movie, as well as writing songs for her upcoming album. She starts shooting her role in the 'Footloose' remake in March.
