Jimmy Wayne is celebrating his first time on top of the country singles charts. 'Do You Believe Me Now' is No. 1 this week on both the Billboard/R&R and Mediabase charts. The good news was announced on live television, after Wayne performed on a special broadcast.

"I was in Vegas this weekend for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon when I got the news that my single had gone No. 1," says Wayne. "What a great feeling -- my first No. 1 record! I have said it before, but it's worth repeating: Not many people get their first shot at living their dream, but I have been given two chances now, and I can't thank country radio, country music fans and my record label enough for all of their support. I am so appreciative, and I know that this is a day I will never forget."

'Do You Believe Me Now' is the title track to Wayne's first new album in five years. It was released last week.
