Jimmy Wayne Learns Tough Love Lessons
Jimmy Wayne's latest single is the sweet love song, 'I Will.' But when it comes to love, the country singer is by no means a sap. In fact, he's learned the hard way that love can be deceiving.
"When you get older, you start thinking what is it really, [and what's] really not love? And when I start chopping down what I think is really not love, it's definitely not the outside," he tells GAC. "You know, all of a sudden, I'm attracting this really beautiful girl. [I thought] I must've just changed overnight. And what I realized years later was it really wasn't me, it was the music."
Wayne now admits he's skeptical of whether a lady likes him for him ... or likes him for his fame. So these days, when it comes to dating, he's prioritizing personality over appearance.
"It's not about what they look like," he said. "That helps, [but] trust me, I've dated a lot of hot girls, and it's cold. At the end of the day, it can be really cold, especially when they take your credit card number and they spend $10,000 and you know nothing about it!"
Wayne is sure to meet a lot of female admirers this summer when he hits the road with Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley for the American Saturday Night Tour. Careful, Jimmy!
