Straight out of high school, Jessie James had the opportunity to do what many only dream about, to release an album. The catch was that the country singer was signed to a pop record label. Nearly five years later, Jessie has landed a country record deal, released her first single, 'When You Say My Name,' and is now debuting the tune's music video, which she filmed in Nashville. "It was the same house that Miranda Lambert shot her video for 'The House That Built Me,'" Jessie reveals to The Boot. "It's me running around the house being silly, doing laundry. I'm in my pajamas the whole time. I think it shows my personality more than any other video I've been in. The other videos were about being sexy, but this one is completely about me being goofy and showing my personality. It's a fun video."

The songstress owns this flirty, upbeat song, but surprisingly, it's one of the only tunes from her upcoming album that she didn't write. "When I heard it, the meat of it was there, and I was like, 'This is really cool,'" she admits. "Then my whole family listened to it and they were already singing along, so I was like, 'We've got to do this one.'"

While her latest work has changed stylistically, fans who remember Jessie's 2009 self-titled album -- which included the tune Katy Perry-penned 'Bullet' -- will definitely recognize the singer in her new music.

"I came out when I was just out of high school, I was 19. I will be 24 now," she explains. "It may not be a big age difference to a lot of people, but it was to me. I've learned so much, this is a different version of me: a more mature version. I want my fans to grow with me and people who don't know me, hopefully, they love what they see now and love the music I have to offer. It's still me and still my writing style and who I am, but it's like going from high school to college, this is the college version of me."
