Reba McEntire’s Grandbaby-To-Be: Name + Baby Shower Details Revealed [Photos]

Reba McEntire's son Shelby Blackstock and daughter-in-law Marissa are preparing to welcome their first child together, and they revealed their unborn son's name as part of their baby shower.

Shelby and Marissa plan to name their baby boy Archer. Based on some of the photos from the shower, it seems like they could be planning "Archie" as a nickname.

Shelby and Marissa Blackstock chose a very on-brand theme for their baby shower: An all-access, behind-the-scenes event celebrating baby Archer's "Welcome to the World" tour.

Guests got their very own VIP passes to celebrate Archer Blackstock's first big "tour" starting in October 2026 — aka his expected due date month.

They were also invited to sign a special custom record plaque, which read "Archie Blackstock: A Star is Born."

Look closely at the bottom left corner of that plaque. One message to the baby-to-be appears to read, "We're gonna have so much fun!" signed "Grandma Reba."

Based on a photo from the entrance table, it also looks like the Blackstocks asked their guests to choose some favorite songs to add to a playlist for baby Archer.

Other shots from the party include a photo of mom-to-be Marissa posing with her bump against a red carpet-style backdrop, framed by blue, black and gold balloons including one in the shape of an electric guitar.

She also shared a photo of a cake her mom brought for her, which reads "It's a Boy!" in blue lettering against white frosting.

Reba McEntire is Going to Be a Grandma

Reba McEntire's only biological child, son Shelby Blackstock, announced this spring that he and his wife Marissa are expecting their first child.

Shelby and Marissa married in 2022. Since then, they've been open about their difficult path to becoming parents. They tried to have a baby via natural methods for a year before switching to medicated cycles, and finally in vitro fertilization (IVF.)

Last December, Marissa shared that they suffered a pregnancy loss just days after finding out they were expecting for the first time after three years of trying for a baby.

She also spoke about the debilitating side effects she experienced during the IVF process.

Does Reba McEntire Have Any Other Grandchildren?

Biologically, no. But McEntire does have a large blended family.

Shelby Blackstock is the singer's only biological child, but she had a close relationship with her stepson Brandon Blackstock, who is Shelby's older brother and the son of McEntire's ex-husband Narvel Blackstock.

Brandon Blackstock died last August at age 48 after a battle with skin cancer.

Brandon had four children, including two kids that he shared with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson. McEntire has described her relationship with Brandon, whom she met when he was four years old, as "precious."

She also maintains a supportive relationship with his family. Though their time together has stayed out of the public eye, McEntire has offered a couple of public updates about how the kids are doing following Brandon's death.
