A lot of country artists used to play baseball growing up, and for many of them, the sport is still a cherished hometown connection.
Being that it is America's past-time and small-town local is a big deal in country music, the two have decided to team up.
Official League and Minor League Baseball (MiLB) are uniting music's biggest names for the next wave of Local Legends, which includes exclusive merch drops and appearances from country stars at minor league ballparks across America.

Each drop from the four country artists will deliver premium apparel and headwear built around original artwork, designed to authentically reflect both the team’s identity and the artist’s roots.
Some of the artists will also be on-hand at a game to celebrate the new partnership.
The Four Country Artists Involved in the MiLB and Official League Collaboration
- Kane Brown x The Chattanooga Lookouts - Brown was born in Chattanooga and some of his deepest roots still lie there.
- Koe Wetzel x Round Rock Express - Koe's gear mixes his edgy, genre-bending rock-country style with minor league baseball. It honors his roots in the Lone Star State.
- Brantley Gilbert x The Gwinnett Stripers - Gwinnett is only about 40 minutes away from Gilbert's house and he and his family go to games all the time, so this collaboration made sense. Gilbert will be in attendance for the Gwinnett Stripers game on July 25th against the Iowa Cubs
Gilbert told me on Taste of Country Nights, "My oldest son has really dug into baseball and his all-star team went up to a game and the Stripers took care of 'em, made 'em feel cool and put them up on the screen. That segued into, 'Let's do something cool together.'"

- Kameron Marlowe x Kannapolis Cannon Ballers - Marlowe used to call Kannapolis, NC home. On Sat., July 18, he will return to celebrate his roots during a special appearance at Atrium Health Ballpark, coinciding with the release of the exclusive collaboration with the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers through Official League's Local Legends Collection.

The collections will be released exclusively on OfficialLeague.com and in select MiLB team stores.

Alan Miller, Founder and President of Official League, summed it up best when he said "When sports and music come together the right way, they don’t just coexist, they amplify each other. That’s where identity, energy, and community really take shape. It’s where merchandise stops being something you wear and becomes something you feel, something you’re part of."
