Controversial Nashville Mansion Up for Auction — See Pictures!
A massive Nashville estate at the heart of accusations from one of country music's most popular singers is still heading to auction, with the bidding beginning at $3.5 million.
Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reported that Kenny Chesney previously owned a cabin on the property, which is located in the high-dollar Brentwood area of Music City. He used the cabin as a songwriting retreat, and later sold that house and the land it was on in 2018.
He strongly refutes the use of a cabin or any of the structures being put for auction.
"For anyone looking at this dwelling, as well as the land it sits on, please know: I have never been inside any part of it," Chesney says in a statement.
"You will not be accessing anything that has any emotional or personal attachment in terms of my life, and I am sickened that this was warranted as such."
The news owners built the 5-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 10,450-square-foot mansion that's now headed to auction. The current owners used the disputed cabin as a guest house, according to the Interluxe Auctions website.
Highlights of the stunning residence include:
- High ceilings, Venetian plaster walls and floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room.
- An owner's suite with two walk-in closets, a dressing room and a "spa-like" bathroom.
- A chef's kitchen with all high-end appliances.
- A home theater.
