Yellowstone star Finn Little, who plays Carter in the franchise, is no longer so little in Taylor Sheridan’s new show, Dutton Ranch.

In the new series, fans will see Carter dealing with everyday teenage struggles involving love, rebellion and fitting in.

Throughout the nine-episode series, viewers will watch Carter fall in love with Oreana, played by Natalie Alyn Lind.

Ahead of the premiere, I asked the pair if they remembered the first time they met each other.

The two first met while attending Cowboy Camp.

“He thought I was Jai’s girlfriend,” Lind begins.

Jai is a cowboy involved with the Duttons' rival ranch, 10 Petals.

“He had no idea until I got on the horse,” she continues.

Little was quick to explain that he originally didn’t know who she was.

“No one really introduced us,” he says. “She came up to me and said hi, and I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you.’ Then she got on a horse.”

That’s when things started to click for the actor.

“I was like, ‘I guess Jai’s girlfriend is just riding around with us, that’s cool,’” he recalls with a smile. “Then someone goes, ‘That’s your on-screen girlfriend!’ I was like, ‘Oh, alright, I need to be a bit more behaved.’”
