Brantley Gilbert Had to Jump Into the Crowd + Beat Somebody Up at a Show
Brantley Gilbert is a man of conviction, and he's not afraid to be the muscle if a situation warrants it.
The "Over When We're Sober" once joked (maybe?) to Taste of Country Nights that when his daughter starts to date, if the guys are anything like he is, he might just "have to stab 'em."
One look at the dude and you know he means business — he's not one to mess with, even if he's onstage performing. Gilbert's concerts occasionally get rowdy, but in a new episode of Taste of Country Nights: On Demand, he recalls a particular concert that go so out of hand, he had to jump in.

Gilbert lit up and actually giggled when he started to tell a story that also involves his buddy and fellow country singer Colt Ford.
"He tells it better, but, first time he got on stage was at a hole-in-the-wall bar," the star recalls, speaking of Ford. "He walked on stage and in the middle of the song, during the guitar solo, and I looked at him and said, 'As soon as this song's over, I'm gonna get the dude in the red hat, you get the dude in the blue shirt.'"
After sharing a laugh with TOCN host Evan Paul about this part of the story, Gilbert continued: "He said he thought that I was joking and didn't think nothing of it. He said that the song ended and he went to dap me up ... and turned around and I was gone."
Gilbert was missing because he had jumped off the stage and was whaling on the man in the red hat, as promised. "He looked down there and I was gone and was on the dude with the red hat," he recalls.
"He [Ford] said, 'I didn't know what the hell to do other than find try to find the guy in the blue shirt!'"
If you are at one of Gilbert's shows, you'd better behave, or it may earn you a black eye.
