Ella Langley's “You Look Like You Love Me" featuring Riley Green is probably the biggest love song of 2024 — it's been a viral success, thanks in part to their great chemistry.

The duet was nominated for Best Collaboration Song at Thursday night's (Sept. 26) People's Choice Country Awards, and on the red carpet ahead of the show, we caught up with Langley to ask her about the song.

She admits "You Look Like You Love Me" has changed both her and Green's lives. And yes, she answered the question everyone is asking.

Are Ella Langley and Riley Green Dating?

"Riley was probably the first famous person I ever met," Langley explains. "He was playing all the same bars I went to, and I played the same bars as him. It's cool to see Alabama people winning!”

But more than friends? Nope — there's no truth to the rumors, she insists.

"We’re not dating," Langley firmly states. "We’re just good friends."

Langley joined Green on his Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour, which is where they first started singing the song for live audiences. Given how they interacted onstage — and how they seem to really feel the lyrics while singing — fans couldn't help but wonder what might be happening off the stage.

The Viral Success of "You Look Like You Love Me"

"This song broke a lot of rules, going to country radio where there is no singing in the verses," Langley explains to Taste of Country’s Adison Haager. "A lot of people have a mindset on what a radio song is ... I don’t think is what people think is a radio song — it’s doing incredible things."

"You Look Like You Love Me" — find it on Langley's debut studio album, Hungover — is currently inside the Top 20 on the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts.

She and Green are both immensely grateful for how fans have gravitated to it. But more than that, Langley says the success has allowed her to free her mind and write what she loves and feels good about.

Look for another duet and another tour together coming up: "Don't Mind If I Do" is their new song, which they'll likely sing together on Green's Damn Country Music Tour.

Langley was just announced as Green's opening act in a pretty cute promo that puts them in a car together, leaning on the likeness of the classic flick Smokey and the Bandit.

The 2025 tour kicks off in March — see cities and dates here.
