Holly Williams has released a touching video for her latest single, 'Waiting on June.' The daughter of Hank Williams, Jr., and granddaughter of Hank Williams wrote the story about her lesser-known grandparents, Warren and June White, and their 58-year love story.

"This song means more to me personally than anything I've ever written," Williams says. "It's the bittersweet true story of my grandparents' life together from the beginning until the end. I wrote it from the shoes of my papaw to my granny, shortly after I lost both of them."

The video for the powerful song combines real images of her beloved grandparents, along with Williams' singing.

"We compiled tons of old family footage to disperse throughout this video that was shot as a live performance," she adds. "It meant so much to me to make this video."

The songstress, who included the song on her 'The Highway' record, says every word in the tune is true.

"Even the order of the children works out in the lyrics," she tells SongFacts.com. "The cook, everything. So that's the song that is really hard for me to get through when I sing it live. Usually people come up to me crying. It wrecks the family emotionally. But it's such a sweet memory to me of my childhood and what my grandparents left. So that's definitely my most proud songwriting moment, I think probably ever."

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is featured on the album version of 'Waiting on June.' Download the single here.
