Hank Williams fans have a lot to anticipate on September 13. In partnership with Warner Distribution Company, Time Warner will release the e-book 'Hank Williams: The Mother's Best Shows in Words and Music.' Written by Hank Williams Sr. historian Colin Escott, the digital project chronicles the roots of the country music icon's music and provides a background of Hank's 'Mother's Best' radio shows.

"From the beginning of this project we wanted to represent Hank Williams in a fully three dimensional way, sharing new insights into the man, his personality, music tastes, influences and his genius," says Mike Jason, Senior Vice President/Retail, Time Life. "The e-book format has enabled Colin Escott to blend music, the story, photos and video into a more full representation. The forty-minute documentary included with the e-book features Hank's daughter, Jett Williams, interviewing two of Hank's original band members. It wonderfully hits the mark, blending deeply personal reminiscences and humor from these former Drifting Cowboys."

Also available the same day is the digital release of the Grammy-nominated 'Hank Williams: The Complete Mother's Best Recordings ... Plus!' The music compilation contains 72 complete, 15-minute shows taken from the Hank's 'Mother's Best Flour' series. The set features 143 performances by the singer. Fans can also purchase 'Hank Williams: The Legend Begins,' which includes rare Hank home recordings from 1940, including performances from Hank at the age of 15, and from his first radio show, 'Health and Happiness.'

"The relationship between the man, his music, his sense of humor, his overwhelming charisma, and the genius and tragedy of his short life all come together in these new initiatives," says the late singer's daughter. "His awesome talent has not only survived the ages, it has survived and embraced the technology revolution and has become available once again to his ever-widening fan base."

Earlier this year, Rodney Crowell, Steve Young, Ashley Monroe and the Secret Sisters honored Hank with performances at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The Family Tradition: The Williams Family Legacy exhibit has become one of the most popular exhibits in the history of the museum.''
