With less than a week to go before their wedding day, Chely Wright and her fiancée Lauren Blitzer are making the usual preparations. No pre-wedding jitters so far, however! "And so begins the fun," Chely tweeted on Monday. "Friends and family are driving/flying in from all over for our special day! @lulublitzer and I feel lucky!"

The 'Single White Female' singer and her partner, who serves as Development Director for the non-profit organization Faith in America, announced in April that they would be married at the Connecticut home of Lauren's aunt on Saturday, August 20. While Chely and Lauren both reside in New York City, at the time of their engagement, New York had not yet become one of the six U.S. states to legalize same-sex marriage.

Although few details of the big day have been revealed thus far, Chely dished that it will be an outdoor ceremony with both a reverend and rabbi officiating, as the singer is Christian and her fiancée is Jewish. The reception will have a deejay, and guests would be wise to bring their dancing shoes!

"Bands at weddings make me nervous," Chely told People magazine back in April. "Sometimes they're not great, and I'd be going, 'Ugh, that doesn't sound right.' So we're going to play all the campiest, cheesiest songs you can think of – 'Vogue,' 'You Shook Me All Night Long' ..."

The blushing bride also reveals that both she and Lauren will wear white dresses, but no veils, joking, "We both like our hair too much!"

Chely met Lauren just two weeks after publicly coming out as a lesbian. They got to know each other through their youth advocacy work in New York City in the spring of 2010 and became engaged this past April.

"We're having a little party in four days," the singer/songwriter tweeted Tuesday morning. "This is gonna be fun! @lulublitzer and I are really having a good time with our wedding week!"
