John Oates is set to release the second single from his innovative album, 'Good Road to Follow.' The pop-rock soul singer collaborated with Vince Gill for the bluesy rock track, which is titled 'Don't Cross Me Wrong.'

The pair wrote the song in Gill's living room. “We wrote the song in literally a half an hour," Oates says in a press release. "In fact, it happened so quickly, I kind of looked at him and said, ‘Did we just finish this?’”

The singer, whose day job is as one-half of Hall & Oates, adds, “Having the chance to write, record and co-produce with Vince Gill was, without a doubt, a highlight in my musical life. I've been a fan of Vince for years and consider him to be one of the greatest vocalists and guitarists of our time.”

Oates is taking a unique approach to his new album, releasing a different single each month from the project. Fans can subscribe to receive a new download and exclusive content every four weeks, purchase limited edition clothing and merchandise inspired by the songs, and individual tracks.

"Who knows, this could be a recording project that never ends,” Oates muses. “I’m having more fun now than I’ve ever had in my career."

Gill also enjoyed the unusual experience. “It was fun to watch him work and realize why he’s had the great career that he has,” he says of Oates. “I love things that take me a little bit out of my element and maybe that’s what made it fun for him too.”
