Vince Gill is the latest country music superstar to hit the big screen, and all he had to do was act -- well, play -- naturally! The multiple Grammy winner will join several other artists for the film version of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, when it screens in select theaters across America beginning this week.

The sold-out concert, held at Toyota Park just outside of Chicago on June 26, included performances by ZZ Top, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and B.B. King. "It's so wonderful to be asked," Vince told The Boot about being invited to perform at the event. "Among musicians like that, we all respect each other so much, it's a brotherhood and camaraderie. And when someone like Eric asks you to come because he says he's inviting people that he likes to hear, it makes me feel validated as a guitar player."

The two-hour film will debut on Tuesday (July 27) at 475 theaters. To find the locations, click here. Meanwhile, Vince is playing several shows this fall while preparing for his upcoming Christmas tour with his wife, contemporary Christian singer Amy Grant.
