Country up-and-comer Tucker Beathard continues his upward trajectory with the release of a brand new music video for his debut single “Rock On.”

Debuted last week, the video was directed by Good One, a filmmaking collaboration between Ry and Drew Cox, two brothers from Los Angeles. On the edgy, hard-country track, Beathard confronts his feelings toward an old flame after seeing a post on social media. The track clearly resounded with fans – debuting as one of country radio’s most-added songs in its first week.

The video is Beathard's first, and features the artist and his band playing in a garage juxtaposed with his ex's new (unhappy) life without him. “Making a music video definitely felt surreal,” Beathard said via release. “Even though it isn't really natural for me and the band to have a bunch of cameras around when we're playing, we had some fun with it."

The song, penned by the artist and his prolific country songwriter father Casey Beathard, was chosen specifically to set the tone for his career. “It was important to me when deciding on the first single that the song was one that I felt would show who I am as an artist, musician and songwriter,” Tucker Beathard said in a statement. “I’m a bit of an introvert, but writing songs and performing them is my way of expressing myself, and I hope it resonates with people.”

On May 12, Beathard heads out on the road with Dierks Bentley for his Somewhere On A Beach Tour, which kicks off in Holmdel, N.J. The artist is still working on his debut album, which has not yet been set for release.
