An outdoor play area at Travis Tritt's Georgia house caught fire Wednesday afternoon (July 29).

According to TMZ, Tritt's mother-in-law called 911 after returning from the grocery store to a fire in the backyard of the country singer's Powder Springs, Ga., house. Tritt was at home at the time, but he was inside and had no idea about the fire; once he was alerted, the website reports that he used a hose to keep the flames from spreading until firefighters arrived.

"Fire destroyed the kids' playground at my house today," Tritt writes on Facebook. "Thanking God that nobody was hurt and [that there was] no other major damage. Also, thank you to all of you that have expressed concern."

Along with the note, Tritt shared a photo of the damage, showing the charred play area. A burned-out trampoline is visible, as are two firetrucks in the background.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, and no foul play is suspected. TMZ says that the fire is suspected to be related to the hot temperatures.

Tritt is scheduled to be out on the road through much of the rest of this summer, including shows in Oklahoma and Missouri on Friday (July 31) and Saturday (Aug. 1), respectively. See a complete list of dates at TravisTritt.com.
