Martina McBride is a true country music superstar. She's had numerous No. 1 hits, earned 14 Grammy Awards nominations and won countless awards. The singer has been lauded for her powerful vocals and charity work, and, on top of that, she's a mom of three beautiful daughters. McBride is an inspiration to women all over the world, and her music videos, just like her career, are powerful and engaging.

McBride isn't afraid to shy away from heavy topics such as domestic abuse, child abuse, cancer and emotional abuse. She can, of course, be fun, flirty, sexy and laid back, but the songs and videos that connect with fans the most are the ones that address heavier topics and important issues. Her songs speak volumes, and her music videos do the rest -- and these are The Boot's Top 5.

    "Blessed"

Enchanting. That's the word that comes to mind when watching McBride's "Blessed" video. She looks almost like a whimsical fairy with her gorgeous dresses and brilliant blue eyes, not to mention the clip's absolutely breathtaking scenery. As McBride sings about all the ways she's been blessed, the video shows different in-love couples and adorable kids who are playing in the flowers and soaking up the scenery. We'd like to know how we can get transported to that magical place!

    "A Broken Wing"

"A Broken Wine" was McBride's second No. 1 song, and its music video will get your blood boiling. It chronicles a relationship between a woman and her emotionally abusive husband, and when visuals are put with the song's strong lyrics, the injustice of it all really springs to life. Deaton-Flanigen Productions directed the music video, which was nominated for Music Video of the Year at the CMA Awards.

    "Concrete Angel"

McBride's Grammy-nominated "Concrete Angel" music video relays an incredibly important message that affects too many individuals in our world today. It centers on abuse -- specifically child abuse -- and a sweet 7-year-old girl named Angela who's hiding bruises under her sweaters and getting laughed at by other kids. Even the teachers avert their eyes. The video goes on to show a little boy who acts as an angel and friend to Angela -- something she so desperately needs. The end of the music video sadly relays what so often happens to vulnerable children who are being abused, and it will take more than a few tissues to mop up your tears ... but more importantly, this music video will remain in your mind for quite a while. When the video was originally released in 2002, it featured the phone number for the American Child Abuse Hotline.

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It"

This Roman White-directed music video tackles another heavy subject: cancer. It features appearances from real-life cancer survivors, including Sheryl Crow, Robin Roberts and Hoda Kotb, as well as cancer activist Katie Couric. Daughters, mamas, sisters, friends -- cancer doesn't discriminate, but the video shows just how strong women -- and those that love them -- can be.

    "Independence Day"

"Independence Day" won Song of the Year and Video of the Year at the CMAs and was nominated for two Grammys -- and it's not hard to see (and hear) why. McBride's star was beginning to rise at meteoric speed when this song and video came out, and though "Independence Day" didn't see chart success, the video was extremely heavy hitting. It depicts a woman's response to domestic abuse, as interpreted by her young daughter, and many eyebrows were raised due to its graphic depiction of domestic violence. The town's lack of response to the violence was also cause for concern but, sadly, may be true in many individuals' stories. "Independence Day" is ranked at No. 2 on CMT's list of the 100 greatest videos in country music -- and it earns the No. 1 slot on this list.
