A tour bus carrying members of Toby Keith's entourage caught fire in the early morning hours Monday (July 1) in Indiana while en route to Nashville after a show in Chicago. The incident forced the closure of two southbound lanes of I-65 while the blaze was extinguished.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Keith was not on board. The bus was part of a convoy that was carrying his band and crew back to Nashville when its driver, Randy James, looked in his driver's side mirror and saw flames shooting out the back of the bus. Moments later he lost all power and coasted to the side of the road.

The incident was called in at 4:45AM, and when responders got to the scene at 4:51AM, they found the rear engine compartment and rear cabin/living area engulfed in flames. It took 25 minutes to extinguish the fire, and authorities report that everyone on board got out safely. The damage to the bus was estimated at $250,000, which will likely increase once investigators determine the value of personal property and equipment lost in the fire.

Keith's next scheduled show is his Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert, which takes place this coming Saturday (July 6) in Norman, Okla.
