Tim McGraw debuted a new single, 'City Lights,' from his upcoming 'Sundown Heaven Town' album on Tuesday night's (May 20) season finale of 'The Voice.'

The singer performed before a room full of screaming fans, as strings of lights adorned the stage. The latest tune was part of his Countdown to Sundown, which allowed fans to use the Shazam app during his performance, giving them exclusive content and the ability to purchase the track at all digital retailers.

McGraw has already been performing 'City Lights,' as well as several other songs from the upcoming album, on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour.

“When you finish making an album, all you want is to have everyone hear it as soon as possible,” he notes. “I’m in the unique position this year that I’m able to tour ahead of the album and introduce the fans to these songs early. I’ve never done anything like this before, but in a world driven by immediate gratification, I want to be able to play a song live somewhere and then have it available for download right then. You just never know where new music might pop up over the next few months."

McGraw was part of a star-studded finale on 'The Voice,' which also included performances by Alabama, Ed Sheeran, Robin Thicke, Justin Moore and Coldplay. Indianapolis singer Josh Kaufman, from Team Usher, was crowned the Season 6 winner.
