The Lacs have released a new single from their recent Outlaw in Me album. The track, "Tonight on Repeat," features Josh Thompson.

Thompson's melodic voice can be heard along with the voices of the Lacs -- Clay "Uncle Snap" Sharpe and Brian "Rooster" King -- throughout the mid-tempo tune. The song shows a different side of the country-rap duo, which they hinted their new project would do.

Outlaw in Me is the best album we’ve created,” Sharpe says. “We’re so proud of it and can’t wait to hear what our fans think about the new music.”

Thompson is currently working to release two EPs with ole Digital, the world’s fastest-growing independent rights company covering digital distribution rights. The projects are the two parts of what was originally a full album that Thompson recorded in 2011; due to label changes, the record was shelved, until now.

"Usually, I would say 98 percent of the time, if something doesn’t come out and it gets shelved, that’s it. It sits there," Thompson tells Taste of Country. "We’ve been really fortunate to be able to take it, own it and just release it ourselves. Everybody’s deal is different, but we were just fortunate enough to be able to walk out with it, and free and clear on the rights, so we’re excited about that. That was a great feeling in itself. We always knew that we were gonna release it, we just didn’t know when. We just let it happen whenever it was the right time."
