The Band Perry are in major celebration mode; they've received their first CMA nomination for Vocal Group of the Year, the band is gearing up to release their self-titled debut album Tuesday, October 12, and now comes news that their current single, 'If I Die Young,' has just been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales exceeding 500,000 units.

The trio first hit the airwaves last year with 'Hip to My Heart,' which was featured on their five-song EP released in April.

"I feel like we're trying to bring back a lot of the traditions of old country music," says Reid Perry of the siblings' new album.

Also on the books for October 12 is their first GAC-TV special, 'Introducing: The Band Perry,' at 9:30 PM ET.

The band is scheduled to hit the road with superstar Alan Jackson next month. Check out all of their tour dates here.
