Sugarland's Kristian Bush is earning as much of a reputation for rockin' stylish headgear as he is for rockin' the stage with partner Jennifer Nettles. But Bush admits that because he's pretty new to the whole hat-wearing thing, he's had to seek sage advice on ways to keep his hats looking their best. And who better to offer tips on the subject than Brooks & Dunn's Kix Brooks, a fellow country star who knows a thing or two about being the hat-wearing half of a hit duo.

"I don't have a whole lot of hat decorum or a lot of hat etiquette," Bush recently told radio station B-93 in Grand Rapids, Mich. "A lot of times in the overhead bin in an airplane, somebody will put their briefcase up there and squish a hat. There's not a lot of ways to make it work, so you have to steam it so it loosens up and gets flat again. I had to go up to Kix Brooks and ask, 'Do you ever smash your hat by accident?' -- the things you wouldn't think you'd ever ask somebody -- and he said, 'Yeah, and there's somebody that steams it out for me.' And I was like, 'Oh, steaming, yeah. OK, got it!'"

During the same radio interview, Bush also put to rest a rumor that his son Tucker's band, The Horses, had broken up.

"They're still together. He went to a new school, so it's not as much rehearsal time as they usually get," says Bush. "They're working on the next record. They're trying to get Jennifer to do a duet with them. But they clam up every time she gets close."

Tucker, by the way, is six years old, so there's probably no rush on making that duet happen any time soon.
