Sugarland Win Two Grammy Awards for ‘Stay’

Sugarland are the Grammy winners for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for ‘Stay,’ in the only country category televised on Sunday’s show. It was the second trophy of the night for lead singer Jennifer Nettles, who won Best Country Song for ‘Stay,’ which she wrote solo.

The country duo were visibly shocked upon hearing their names called. A beaming Kristian Bush thanked his wife and kids. Nettles thanked several industry peers before thanking “my mama, who carted me around to every wedding and event.” She even thanked Paul McCartney, who was sitting in the front row.
