Sturgill Simpson has added new dates to his previously announced sold-out U.S. tour.

The tour kicks off Jan. 29 in Knoxville, Tenn., and the added dates stretch through July 11 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. During his time on the road, Simpson will hit a number of festivals, including Coachella, Stagecoach, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and the Big Barrel Country Music Festival.

The shows will support Simpson's album 'Metamodern Sounds in Country Music,' which was No. 10 on the list of most-played Americana albums of 2014 and is also up for a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album.

Simpson recently signed a new record deal with label Atlantic Records and has started work on his next album with friend and 'Metamodern' producer Dave Cobb, who has also worked with Jason Isbell and Jamey Johnson, at Nashville’s Sound Emporium studio.

‘Metamodern Sounds in Country Music’ is available for download via iTunes and Amazon.
